• दिल्ली सल्तनत के 1206 को पहले सुल्तान कुतबुद्दीन ऐबक की लाहाैर (अब पाकिस्तान) में ताजपोशी हुई।
• फ्रांस ने 1793 में पहली बार रिपब्लिकन संविधान को अपनाया।
• फ्रांस के तानाशाह नेपोलियन बोनापार्ट ने 1812 में साढ़े तीन लाख की सेना के साथ रूस पर आक्रमण आरंभ किया।
• वेनेज़ोएला की राजधानी काराकास पर 1812 में स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के दौरान विख्यात स्वतंत्रता प्रेमी नेता साइमन बोलिवर का अधिकार हो गया।

• ‘ओम जय जगदीश हरे’ आरती के रचयिता तथा हिन्दी, पंजाबी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी पंडित श्रद्धाराम शर्मा का निधन 1881 में हुआ।
• भारत के चौथे राष्ट्रपति व्ही.व्ही. गिरी का निधन 1980 में हुआ।
