यूपीएससी परीक्षा के लिए करेंट अफेयर्स की तैयारी कैसे करें।
*जैसा कि हम जानते हैं कि आईएएस तैयारी के सभी तीन चरणों (प्रारंभिक परीक्षा, मुख्य परीक्षा व साक्षात्कार या व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण) में वर्तमान मामलों की समझ महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है। हाल के वर्षों में आईएएस परीक्षा में वर्तमान मामलों का महत्व में वृद्धि हुई है, जिसमें आनुपातिक रूप से प्रश्नों के विश्लेषणात्मक रुझान के साथ-साथ कुछ विषय जैसे पर्यावरण और अर्थव्यवस्था से जुड़ी घटनाओं आदि का विशेष महत्व भी बढ़ा है।*
*अब प्रश्न यह उठता है कि आईएएस परीक्षा के लिए वर्तमान मामलों को कैसे तैयार किया जाए?* यूपीएससी प्रिलिम्स के पाठ्यक्रम में काफी स्पष्ट रूप से *"राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय महत्व की वर्तमान घटनाओं"* का उल्लेख है जिसे हम करेंट अफेयर्स या समसामयिकी के रूप में समझते हैं। आयोग ने परीक्षा में वर्तमान मामलों को बहुत ही कुशलता से शामिल किया है, लेकिन प्रारंभिक और मुख्य परीक्षा दोनों के पाठ्यक्रम में इस भाग को परिभाषित नहीं किया गया है। एक उम्मीदवार को हर दिन यूपीएससी परीक्षा के स्तर के आधार पर समाचार पत्रों के माध्यम से महत्वपूर्ण वर्तमान मामलों से संबंधित सभी प्रमुख समाचारों को पढ़ना और उनसे नोट्स बनाने की कला का विकास करना चाहिये।
*Note*- *अगर आप समाचार पत्र को नहीं पढ़ते हैं तो कोई बात लेकिन आप उस दिन के वे तथ्य जो परीक्षा के दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण हैं उसको जरूर पढें और अगर आप समाचार पत्र पढ़ते भी हैं तो उसमें ध्यान रखें कि जो उसमें दिया है उसको पढ़ के उसके बारे में विस्तृत जानकरी रखें तभी पढ़ना सार्थक हो पायेगा।।*
*समाचार पत्र पढ़ने से पहले आपको पूरा विषय वस्तु ध्यान से पढ़ लें ताकि जो भी आप पढें उसको आप अपने विषय से जोड़ लें,,अगर आप न्यूज़पेपर नहीं पढ़ते हैं तो _हमारे ग्रुप_ में जो समाचार बताया जाता है उसको लिखें और उससे बहुत सारी जानकारियां इकट्ठा करें!!*
आईएएस परीक्षा में मौजूदा मामलों से पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्नों का कोई विशेष ट्रेंड नहीं है। यदि हम पिछले वर्ष के पेपर का अध्ययन करें तो हम यह समझ सकते हैं कि कई मौजूदा घटनाओं से कई प्रश्नों को सीधे-सीधे पूछा गया था। वर्तमान मामलों में विषयों की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला को शामिल किया गया जाता है और ये प्रमुख विषयों जैसे कि भूगोल, नीति, अर्थशास्त्र, इतिहास, पर्यावरण एवं विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी के साथ ओवरलैप करते हैं। इस तरह से हम यह समझते हैं कि करेंट अफेयर्स की तैयारी के लिये किसी विशिष्ट विषय के तहत प्रश्नों को वर्गीकृत करना कठिन है।

सरकार के पहलुओं / नीतियों, भारत की नीतियां जो अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर हैं जैसे - पूर्व की ओर देखो नीति (Act East policy), अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संस्थान - अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष, विश्व बैंक, संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद (United Nations Security Council), अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समझौते - गैर-प्रसार संधि (एनपीटी), वासेनार व्यवस्था, स्टार्ट संधि, राइट्स इश्यू, सोशल सेक्टर की पहल (Social Sector Initiatives), सस्टेनेबल डेवलपमेंट (Sustainable Development) पर सरकार द्वारा उठाए गए अच्छे उपाय इत्यादि।
आप आसानी से *समाचार पत्रों के महत्व* को समझ सकते हैं। सभी स्थैतिक (Static Portion) भाग जैसे भूगोल, इतिहास, अर्थशास्त्र, राजनीति, विज्ञान और तकनीक या पर्यावरण इत्यादि दैनिक समाचारों का एक नियमित हिस्सा है। इसके अलावा, यूपीएससी के प्रश्नों के उत्तर देने के लिये हमें समकालीन मुद्दों का स्थैतिक पहलू से संबंध तथा उसके विश्लेषण आदि की समझ में निपुणता प्राप्त करने की आवश्यकता होती है। जब आप समकालीन विकास व घटनाओं से अवगत होते हैं, तो इसकी तैयारी मुश्किल नहीं होती है।
